from an any cubic email i received AFTER putting in a service ticket with my order id and SN.
EDIT WHERE FIND YOUR BOARD NUMBER. the files have the the mainboard and touchscreen both in the archive.
be gentle with me this is my personal drive. Mainboard firmware update steps:. If the motherboard version number is v005, please update the v2.3.4 firmware.
If the motherboard version number is v006, please update the v2.3.5 firmware. Format the SD card, copy the mainboard firmware to the U disk, and the U disk only stores this file.
Turn off the machine first, insert SD card and then turn it on.
At this time, the light of the print head will flash. After a while, the printer will update the firmware automatically.
After the automatic update, the screen will automatically enter the main interface.
Then shut down and pull out the U disk. Update complete.
Power on, click "system" ¡ú "about" ¡ú "firmware version" to confirm the firmware version.
Screen firmware update steps:. Copy the DWIN_SET folder to the root directory of the SD card, and try not to have other files or folders under the SD card.
Insert the SD into the card slot on the screen and then power on again. The screen first enters the blue screen state. After about 20-30, it starts to play the animation, and when it becomes the blue screen again.
It means flashing firmware is successful. Troubleshooting method:. If it stays on the blue screen for a long time, there is no animation.
It is possible that there is a problem with the formatting of the SD card.
Please reformat, note: formatted as fat32, the allocation unit size must be 4096 bytes.
Make sure ALL slicers or other programs that connect to your printer board are CLOSED before trying to upload to your printer.
Please note that on machines with multiple COM ports you may have to select the COM port manually. Please see our VSCode COM port selection article to see how to do that.
1.i – The firmware will upload to the printer board over USB.
DO NOT UNPLUG THE PRINTER OR RESET YOUR COMPUTER.
Interrupting the flashing can “brick” your board and if this happens you will need to reflash the bootloader with a programmer (like an Arduino UNO) before you can flash again.
1.j – When the printer boots you will see the TH3D logo on your LCD. Make sure to reset your EEPROM on your printer after flashing any firmware. You can do this from your printer LCD or by sending a M502 followed by M500 with your favorite Gcode sender application.
