Gateway Windows 11 Upgrade

Posted on  by admin

We release an update every month for on-premises data gateways. Each of these updates includes new features along with the latest Mashup Engine.

Upgrade a Windows 10 PC to Windows 11.

You have a Windows 10 license. Your PC must have Windows 10, version 2004 or higher installed to run Installation Assistant.

We recommend that you update gateway members one after the other without a long lag. This will reduce sporadic failures as a query may succeed on one gateway member, but not on the other, based on its version. Please follow the following steps while updating a gateway cluster with two or more members:

  1. Your PC meets the Windows 11 device specifications for upgrade requirements and supported features.
  2. Certain features require additional hardware.
  3. We also recommend that you visit your PC’s manufacturer’s website for information about updated drivers and hardware compatibility.
  4. Your PC must have 9 GB of free disk space to download Windows 11.

Disabling a gateway makes sure the load balancer does not try to execute queries on the member you are updating, hence reducing delays and failures.

To update a gateway:

  1. You need to be an administrator to run this tool. Once the tool confirms the device hardware is compatible, you will be presented with the license terms. Select Accept and Install.

  2. Once the tool is ready, click the Restart Now button to complete installation on your computer.

  3. It might take some time to install Windows 11, and your PC will restart a few times.

The gateway update is now complete.
