Kerio Connect is available as a standard installation package for Windows, macOS X, Linux RPM, and Linux Debian. This article details the process of installing Kerio Connect on Windows. Please make sure your system meets all requirements before starting the installation.


Process

Download the latest version of Kerio Connect. Run the installer, select the language, and click OK.

Select the setup type and click Next. Specify the destination folder and click Next.

If the installation wizard detects configuration settings from a previous Kerio Connect installation, choose to either keep or replace the configuration, and click Next.

Confirmation

Click the Finish button on the InstallShield Wizard Completed screen. In the case of corrupted installations, follow the below steps to repair the Kerio Connect installation. Download and run the installer. Click Next on the welcome screen.

Select the Repair option and click Next. Select the Keep current configuration option and click Next.

Wait a couple of minutes to complete the repair process, then click Finish. (Optional) Sometimes, Kerio Connect does not recognize the previous installation (configuration files like mailserver.cfg, users.cfg, etc.).

In such cases, it is recommended to move theConfiguration (refer to Manual Method of transferring) and Store files outside of the Kerio folder and rerun the installation wizard.

Once the installation is complete, the Kerio Connect engine starts and runs as a service immediately or after the system restarts. The Kerio Connect installation process is logged in the kerio-connect.setup.log file located in the %TEMP% folder. To manage the Kerio Connect installation, you must obtain a copy of your Kerio Connect Commercial, Trial/Temporary, or GFI Unlimited license key.

Troubleshooting

You require guidance on how to get this license key. The method for collecting a copy of your license key will vary based on the type of license key:. Because of the Licensing policies, all the Commercial license keys are processed through GFI Partners.

To get the actual license.key file, it's recommended to visit the Kerio Product registration page and follow the license wizard as instructed in Manually Update the Product Registration.

To get a Trial or Temporary License key, you can register for a Trial using the GFI Website. Visit the downloads page and click the "Try free for 30 days" button under the respective product:.

Kerio Outlook Connector is a Microsoft Outlook extension that can be used to manage Kerio Connect email, events, contacts, and tasks in Microsoft Outlook. The Offline Edition allows offline editing and synchronizes all changes with Kerio Connect once the connection is restored.

Open Kerio Connect Webmail. On the Kerio Connect Client Login page, click Integration with Windows.You can also expand the drop-down menu displayed when clicking the name on the upper right-hand side in Kerio Connect Client, and choose Integration with Windows.
