Timers For Electric Motors

Posted on  by admin
Hi,
I have an electrical motor. I want to add a timer that runs only 3 hours per day. I would like to know what I need to check when buying a timer so it works safely with the amps of the motor?
Which measurement should I look when choosing the right wire gauge size and timer?
Locked rotor amps or Full load amps?
Locked rotor amps: 22.61
Full load amps: 5.3
Service factor amps: 5.9
Is it safe to use TP-Link Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug. Is it rated 15 amps.
Thank you for your help
