Could you clarify why 10 seconds is useful? Since updating the system theme is kind of intensive, updating it every ten seconds is generally non-performant.

The registry override should likely work, though. Report abuse Harassment is any behavior intended to disturb or upset a person or group of people.

Yeah I'm going to try and edit the registry. We do network marketing. We have a brick and mortar location and have two computers that run slide shows with pictures of our events and free vacations and stuff (don't worry, we have disclaimers, haha).

One computer we use for orders and signing people up and playing music, but it's also connected to a big tv as a second monitor.

We could use a slide show program but since it'd need to be fullscreen on the second monitor sometimes stuff we do on the little display kicks the slide show out of fullscreen. So using Windows wallpaper slideshow has worked very well for us.

The other computer is on the cabinet and is an all-in-one. We occasionally use it as well, but it's simpler to let the background change so when people use it they don't have to figure out how to get the slide show back on.

And maybe that's the main issue we face, people who can't turn a slideshow on.

Wrapping up

So using the wallpaper slideshow is simpler. Also, our all0-in-one is very low end and it seems running the wallpaper slideshow is actually less taxing than a slideshow would be.

Hope that explains! Report abuse Harassment is any behavior intended to disturb or upset a person or group of people.
